Get to know us....
Outside of dog training we both know what it is like to lead busy lives.
Tania trains public access assistance dogs, she has worked with many families across Auckland training with their dogs in classes and in home environments. Tania has a psychology degree and is completing postgrad studies, she is currently on sabbatical from dog training as she is focusing on her work with people as a Behaviour Specialist with Explore.
Our focus is on helping owners to create calm, relaxed dogs through "hands off" positive reinforcement training.
We offer training through Behaviour Consultations or various Training Classes. Our training style is different, we are confident you will find it refreshing.
We teach you how to avoid micro managing your dogs’ behaviour. We use a mixture of command and passive training techniques to create clever, thinking dogs, leading to great behavioural results.
Sam, co-owner of thecanineclub is currently on sabbatical.

See what others have to say about us...
"I very quickly learnt that my own techniques were old fashioned and that thecanineclub offer a training style that not only teaches your dog their 1, 2, 3's (sit, stay, come) but more importantly they have given me the tools I need to train my dog to be a well adjusted, sociable, calm, happy dog that I can take ANYWHERE at ANYTIME (or leave at home anytime). What more could you ask for! thecanineclub train 'what really matters' so that you have a content easy dog for LIFE without any niggly behavioural problems! I recommend thecanineclub to ALL puppy owners experienced or not. Thank you Tania and Sam for your professional, supportive and expert knowledge, I am forever grateful to you for the lovely dog I now have who I can truly say is my companion."
