Puppy Preschool

A great start to your pups training.  We teach you all the basics commands  (Come, Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Leave).  We discuss age appropriate topics like toilet training, health issues, nipping & how to keep your pup busy when you are not with him.  The socializing with other pups is an integral part of their learning to be a content social dog.

4 weeks, $140, Forrest Hill Vet Clinic, Wednesday nights from 7.30pm-8.30pm

Canine Fun Time - Stage one obedience & socializing

In this class we teach all your basic commands with hand signals (Come, Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Leave) and we also teach Boundary setting, Walking to heel, Off lead recall and Road safety. We provide information on stimulating games to play with your dog, ways to cure your dog’s boredom and ways to prevent future behavioural issues. The dogs get regular off lead socializing in a controlled inside environment with two trainers.
 This class is a great follow on from Puppy Preschool but is suitable for any aged sociable dog that needs a training refresher.

5 week class, $145, 11p Airborne Road Albany, Saturday 10.30am - 11.30am

Calm Canines - Stage two behavior class with use of clicker training

Have you ever wanted to try clicker training? We teach you many practical applications of this incredible training tool. We do lots of active training exercises such as building great focus with your dog, "On your mat", extended work on Walking with a loose lead and Proper door etiquette and we also do a lot of work on passive training techniques to replace problem behaviours such as Jumping and Barking. 
We build more on off lead recall and road safety in this class too, for a bit of fun we teach your dog some tricks in this too such as high five, roll over, play dead or take a bow to name a few.You need to have all of the basic obedience commands in place first before you join this class.

Reactive Canines – Class for trigger reactive dogs only with application of clicker training

Have you always wanted to join a training class but you find it hard to have your dog in a public environment with other dogs and distractions around? This class is specifically designed for REACTIVE DOGS whether your dog's triggers are dogs, cats, bikes, noises, people this class is perfect for you.
We will show you how to manage your dog’s reactive behaviours whether it be towards dogs or other triggers. You will learn to apply the clicker in every day situations to encourage a calmer more focused dog.  We will also build on your dog's skill base and teach some fancy new tricks.

Real World Training – Stage three behaviour class with use of clicker training

Quite often with dogs, when we are out in the open we can find ourselves confronted with hairy situations and we need to think fast and have replacement behaviours on tap. We will spend this class applying alternative behaviours to a variance of natural circumstances, and showing our dog’s that the no matter what else is going on around them they can show interest but stay calm & under control.
4 week class, $120. Venues vary each week, Saturday  11-12pm

Small Dog Social Saturdays  - Casual training and socializing for small breeds only

This class is the perfect balance between work and play, the hour long class is split in between training and off lead socializing and agility. The class is run every Saturday and you can come as often as you like. The content of the class varies every week but is perfect for a way to maintain good behavior with your small breed dog once you have completed some of thecanineclub’s other training classes.
Every Saturday, $25 per session or $100 for 5 week concession card, 11p Airborne Road Albany, 12.30-1.30pm



Doggy Daytime Adventures – Active Outings and Day Breaker for dogs

This is a new service thecanineclub now offer, during the week we take a small group of dogs (no more than 5 at a time it’s very exclusive!) out for active outings to dog friendly parks, beaches and bush walks for a day breaker while you are out. We follow up with lots of pictures of the outings posted regularly on facebook. There are on lead and off lead options for the adventures depending on your dog’s recall abilities and we can pick your dog up and bring him home too (extra charge)
