We are a team of experienced trainers led by Tania Nilsen. We believe there are a few simple strategies families can put in place when they get a new dog that will prevent problem behaviours, or sort any already present
(such as anti social behaviour, separation anxiety, barking, biting, toilet training).
These are offered to you through personalized home visits or training classes, which ever best suits your dog and your family. Our programmes are created to ensure they are workable within the busy lives we all lead. We are committed to ensuring your dog has the best life possible with you, we will arm you with skills and useful tools to have a happy, sociable relaxed dog.
We run fun informative training classes of varying stages to help you through the tough times. There will be lots of prizes up for grabs, literature for you to refer to when at home, and you will get plenty of laughs. Your whole family is welcome to join in, it is a child friendly environment.
thecanineclub has recently been approached to train dogs in the homes of children with autism.
We are excited about this new challenge and looking forward to creating special relationships for these children. Ideally the dogs we train will be able to break repetitive behaviour patterns in the child, be a constant companion and find any children with a tendancy to wander or hide. www.caninecompanions.co.nz
